Milestone 6

Overview

Our team conducted user testing with three potential users and met with our client to discuss the evolution in our understanding of user needs from the lo-fi prototype to the hi-fi prototype. After the testing and our meeting, we generated six findings and developed solutions to address them.

Findings and Recommendations

User Finding 1: Interface design should suggest and order of using functions
Solution: Move preferences option to the Menu. Think carefully about size and layout of features.

User Finding 2: Some people only want audio recording
Solution: Give users the option of recording audio/and or video

User Finding 3: People want to keep track of decisions and tasks after meetings
Solution: Create a tool to allow users to take notes and mark them as decisions or tasks. Tasks can be assigned to the user or to other

User Finding 4: People want to recreate context and relationships among people, ideas and file
Solution: Create a map of meeting participants, files, and ideas. Size of people, files, and notes are scaled in size based on their importance during the meeting.

User Finding 5:: People want to create and edit whilteboards together
Solution: Make the whiteboards collaborative so that all participants can comment and edit on the same idea

User Finding 6: User generally have mobile devices at meetings, but maybe not a laptop or computer
Solution: Create a mobile interface for MeetingBytes with the same functionality as the software widget
